What we collect

  1. Your email address and password (stored as a one-way hash we can never read back) when you create an account
  2. Your username and team
  3. Anything you optionally add yourself, like a tagline or location on your profile
  4. The chat messages you send
  5. Your Fan Score, streaks, and activity history
  6. A push notification token, but only after you grant notification permission
  7. Basic usage analytics (which features you use, actions you take)
  8. Your IP address at signup, for spam and fraud prevention

What we don't collect

We don't access your device's location, contacts, camera, or photo library. We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

How we use it

  1. To run the game itself: your Fan Score, the Fan War leaderboards, chat, and push notifications you've opted into
  2. To keep the app safe: chat is filtered for banned language, rate-limited, and reports are reviewed
  3. To understand and improve the product, using the usage analytics described above

What other fans can see

Your username, team, Fan Score, and public activity (chat messages, leaderboard rank, friend count) are visible to other fans inside the app by design. Your email and password are never shown to anyone.

Blocking and reporting

You can block another fan from your profile at any time. Once blocked, you'll no longer see their chat messages anywhere in the app, and they can no longer view your profile, friend you, or friend request you. You can manage your blocked list from Profile at any time, and unblock a fan whenever you choose. You can also report a specific message for review. Neither tells the other person you took that action.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your email, password, and any tagline or location you added, and permanently blocks the account from being used again. Some activity tied to your account, like past chat messages and your contribution to team totals, stays in the app in anonymized form (shown as "Deleted Fan"), since that history is shared with other real fans and teams and isn't something we can pull out of the game without affecting everyone else's records.

Children's privacy

Fan Legend isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Security

Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date above.
